This class is designed for students in their first and second years of studying a brass instrument. We will be exploring note and rhythm reading, proper embouchure (mouth position and placement in playing an instrument), fingering (or slide positions), basic intonation, appropriate articulations, and instrumental maintenance and hygiene. Brass quintet, brass quartet
This is a group class that will be offered by performance cycle. Because of the nature of chamber music, it will be only offered by audition for five students at a time (2 trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba).
